                     December 14 Meeting
     
          Sheldon Richman on "Separating School & State"

     Sheldon Richman will discuss his new book "Separating School &
 State: How to Liberate America's Families" at the Wednesday December 
 14 meeting of WMOD.   According to the Laissez Fair Books review: 
 "Richman mounts the most fundamental challenge yet to the government 
 school monopoly, and he provides an exhilarating vision of how much 
 better off everyone will be with 100 percent private, voluntary 
 schools."

    Sheldon Richman is senior editor at the Cato Institute in 
 Washington, D.C.  His articles have appeared in  The Washington Post, 
 The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Times, The American Scholar, 
 and many other publications.  He and his wife are passionate 
 homeschoolers.

     Join us for dinner on 12/14 at 7 pm and/or for the talk at 8:15 pm 
 at the Fortune Chinese Restaurant in Falls Church on Route 7 between 7 
 Corners and Columbia Pike (5900 Leesburg Pike - (703) 998-8888).  We 
 have arranged for a $15 fixed price dinner (including tax and tip).
